Woman's Civic Club’s moneymaking project this year is another quilt, the ALL STAR quilt, to be given away at the square dance contest on Santa Fe Trail Day.
Tickets are on sale now for the drawing from all Woman’s Civic Club members, Kuhns Chiropractic, Health Mart Pharmacy, downtown Santa Fe Trail Day before and after the parade, and at the high school before the square dance contest. Tickets are six for $5 or $1 each.
The Club will also have a bake sale on Santa Fe Trail Day in front of Powell-Kuhns Mortuary. The ALL STAR quilt is many different shades of blue and will be on display at the Nursing Home, the Pharmacy and various places in the community. The Club enjoyed sewing a quilt so much last year, that they decided to sew another one this year. All money raised by the Civic Club is donated back to the community each year.
