Prowers Medical Center is in the process of making some “much needed” repairs to our east Parking Lot.  Parking Lot “D” located on the east side of the hospital where patients routinely enter the building to access Emergency or Laboratory services will be closed off beginning Monday, August 30th at 7:00 am.

Over time, the asphalt has begun to deteriorate due to the heavy volume of traffic on that side of the building plus the consistent access by the MRI mobile unit has stressed the surface causing excessive cracking and occurrence of pot holes throughout the area.  In an effort to correct those issues as well as to enhance the appearance and public access, we will begin prepping and  cutting the area to allow for the application of new asphalt overlay.

The area will be closed off to prevent any access by vehicles during this process.  We anticipate the project to be completed and ready to handle vehicle traffic by Friday, September 3rd.

During this resurfacing process, we encourage patients to utilize the front entrance of Prowers Medical Center for accessing their general healthcare needs.  For emergency situations, please park in Parking Lot “E” on the north side of the hospital and enter our Emergency Department through the ambulance entrance area.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we make the necessary improvements to ensure a safer and more accessible surface area on the east side of our campus.

If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact Charles Martin, Plant Operations Supervisor at 719-691-1853.
