Bent’s Fort Chapter annual meeting and presentation - Jan. 14 at the Museum beginning at 11 a.m. with meeting, lunch, then presentation. Mike and Patti Olsen will speak about "Those Literate Ladies: Women Writing on the Santa Fe Trail."
FIELD TRIP: We are kicking the year off with a field trip on Jan. 31 to the CF&I Museum in Pueblo – leaving the Museum at 8 a.m. Our monthly field trips are the last Tuesday of each month, when possible, and we enjoy the camaraderie and find ways to improve our operations and exhibits. It is a lot of fun making new friends and contacts.
HERITAGE LIBRARY: We have been doing a lot of work and organizing in the library and are working on a large grant request to digitize some of our historical data bases. If you wish to volunteer in the library, please let us know. Tuesdays at 9 a.m. is the regular volunteer day if that would work for you. We can always use the extra help.
VALENTINE DINNER & DANCE: PHS and the Bent County Art Guild will be hosting a Valentine dinner and dance on Saturday, Feb. 11. More information coming soon!
WINTER HOURS: Our winter hours for January and February will be Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will be closed Wednesday and Thursday and we are always closed on Sunday and Monday. We are glad to provide tours when we are not open – just call 456-6066 or 469-2721. We are always glad to accommodate your family and friends.
BOGGSVILLE: Take a drive out to Bent County’s National Treasure! Boggsville will re-open in the spring; be watching for a list of upcoming events for 2017.
MUSEUM ADMISSION: Adults $5; Youth (6-12) $4; under 6 and active military FREE! Our Grand Hall and Heritage Library are available for rental; for large and small meetings, parties or other special events; give us a call and let us make a reservation for you, your business or organization.

RADIO LAS ANIMAS: Monday mornings at 6:30 a.m., KKRV 107.3 hosts a live show at the studio located in the Chamber of Commerce office at 702 Grove Avenue. Stop by or listen for all the local events, if you miss it Monday morning you can catch recordings at noon throughout the week.
