The Bent's Fort Chapter of the Santa Fe Trail Association will hold its Annual Meeting on Feb. 11 in the Grand Room of the JW Rawlings Heritage Center and Museum in Las Animas.

The Bent's Fort Chapter of the Santa Fe Trail Association will hold its Annual Meeting on Feb. 11 in the Grand Room of the JW Rawlings Heritage Center and Museum in Las Animas. The Museum is located at 560 Bent Avenue (corner of Highway 50 and Fifth St.), Las Animas.

The chapter business meeting will start at 11 a.m. The meeting will include a discussion of the upcoming events planned for 2017 as well as vote on an update to the Chapter bylaws. There will also be a brief presentation on the status of the Goodnight Barn Restoration project. The Goodnight Barn is located west of Pueblo. The business meeting will be followed by a catered lunch at noon. The cost of the catered lunch is $10 per person. After lunch Chapter members Mike and Patti Olsen will give a talk, "Those Literate Ladies: Women Writing on the Santa Fe Trail."
