Las Animas High School hosted its first Youth Engagement Day - Career Development on Jan. 18.

Youth Engagement builds on the philosophy of exposing students to local career opportunities within their hometown community. The purpose is to build capacity for student to stay, work and raise their families in their hometowns. Student Council leadership team did most of the work to get the event organized. Each organization gave a 15-minute presentation about their organization to groups of interested high school students.
