BURLINGTON FIELD TRIP: Nine of us made the field trip to the “Old Town Museum” in Burlington. We enjoyed a live cancan dance, a bank robbery and shootout. The picture (space permitting) shows us with the entire group of performers. The gunfighters and dancers plan to join us for Boggsville Days on Oct. 14 along with a Festus impersonator – mark your calendars! We also rode the famous Burlington Carousel and visited the Carousel Museum at the fairgrounds. July field trip will be, “Fun in Florence” - a visit to the Florence Museum, train depot and antique shops on July 26. Aug. 30 will find us in Fremont County with cemeteries, fossils and other interesting sites. Usually scheduled for last Wednesday each month.
