HISTORY OF QUILTING: Bent County Art Guild is proud to present, “A History of Quilting” quilt show exhibit (bring your special quilts on Aug. 1 with their stories) which will kick off officially on Aug. 12 with a presentation from noon to 4 p.m. and a look at how quilting methods have changed over the years. Janell Roberts demonstrates her new machine cutter for material cutting 2 ½” strips. Cost is $5 for adults and $4 for youth 6-12. Refreshments will be provided. An ice cream social will be held in Bell Park on this day also.
SUMMER FUN: Kids Ice Cream Social in Bell Park on August 8 at 10 a.m. – bring your kids, eat ice cream, and enjoy the Museum and our exhibits.

FIELD TRIPS: We had a great time at the Florence Museum, Railroad Station, ate at the Aspen Bakery and Café and toured the antique shops. Aug. 30 Freemont County points of interest; Sept. 27 Vilas and Boise City, Oklahoma; Oct. 25 Fort Larned, Kansas; Nov. 29 Raton and Capulin Volcano National Monument; and Dec. 20 Pueblo Air Museum. All subject to changes and weather.
BOGGSVILLE & MUSEUM HOURS: Open Tuesday through Saturday. On Tuesday the museum is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Boggsville from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday both open from noon to 4 p.m. We are closed on Sunday and Monday. Boggsville appreciates all donations for visitations to help with operating expenses. Boggsville and the museum are glad to provide tours when we are not open – just call 456-6066.
