The class featured on the front page of the Tribune-Democrat on Thursday is Mrs. Miner’s Leadership Class, made up of seventh and eighth graders. The students fundraised for the money to buy the blankets and pillows for Arkansas Valley Hospice. They sold candygrams during Halloween to the students at La Junta Jr/Sr High School. The idea to donate to hospice came from the students in class, and they were very excited to see their idea come to life.

These students also made goodie bags for their most inspirational teacher from their Primary and Intermediate days and gave a bag to their  special teacher at the high school, too. They also decorated Jr. High Teachers’ doors.

They have been busy spreading cheer and joy to our school and community.
