This was a full week of athletics for the Las Animas Trojans. With Santa Fe Trail day looming, the Trojans had games Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday.

On Monday the Trojans traveled to Walsenburg to face the John Mall Panthers in a double header. The Trojans lost both games 6-2 and 10-9.

The next day, they loaded up and headed to Cheyenne Wells to face the Tigers. Braving the elements, the teams got the varsity game in before calling the JV game on account of weather. The Trojans fell 19-13.

Fast forward to Saturday, the day after Santa Fe Trail Day, and the Trojans traveled to Wiley to face County Line. The Trojans split the double-header winning the first 14-4, and losing the second 12-2.

This week the Trojans host Burlington on Thursday May 3 at 4 p.m. at Sonny Smith Field, and then travel to Swink for a double-header against the Lions at 10 a.m. on May 5.
