On Tuesday, Jan. 17, the McClave High School juniors and seniors who are enrolled in an agricultural education class attended the largest stock show in the nation: The National Western Stock Show.

However, in a new policy statement, the American Academy of Pediatrics says to keep children under age 2 as "screen-free" as possible.

Sixty-two percent of the voters voted in the last election and Patti Nickell, Bent County Clerk, felt this was a good turnout considering there were only two items to be decided in the vote. Proposition 103 was voted down by a strong 735 to 397.

“No one likes to talk about raising taxes, but public education in Colorado is in trouble and Proposition 103 offers a temporary solution,” said Jerry Nickell, superintendent of Las Animas School District concerning Proposition 103, which will be on the November ballot.
