For many years Otero Junior College has been offering Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training to area residents; however, when the program begins again on Jan. 12, there will be a lot of firsts for the program.

The Colvin Scholarship Fund will award $20,000 in scholarships to five undergraduate students in the amounts of $6,000, $5,000, $4,000, $3,000 and $2,000. A $6,000 graduate-level scholarship will also be awarded.
