September 17

12:15 p.m., 400 block of Grove Avenue, student returned to school

7:24 p.m., bar check at Purgatory Pub/ found person in violation of a restraining order. The person was placed under arrest and transported to jail

September 18

10:07 a.m., minors reported with a BB gun. Officers seized the gun

4:50 p.m., civil matter: property dispute

7 p.m., theft, shoplifting. Case opened and information on two juvenile suspects was sent to the District Attorney

10:21 p.m., report of person throwing rocks in the 200 block of St. Vrain Ave. Person contacted

11:14 p.m., traffic contact: speeding 38 in a 25 mph zone. Ticket issued
September 19
12:35 a.m., foot patrol downtown area/bar checks

1:15 a.m., assisting other agency: recovered stolen vehicle east of Las Animas

2 a.m., transported juvenile to Police Department/turned over to parent

2:15 a.m., loud music complaint in the 600 block of Elm Avenue. Officers contacted owner and intoxicated juvenile. Both were arrested, one for under age drinking, one for unlawful acts

3:30 a.m., person transported to Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center for medical clearance. Person was cleared and returned to jail

4 a.m., report of an assault, 200 block of Elm Avenue. Opened case

6:10 a.m., prowler report, 300 block of Grand Avenue. Report was of someone banging on windows. Area checked, no one located

2:50 p.m., follow up with District Attorney on incident from previous night. No charges filed

4:10 p.m., traffic contact, First Street and Bent Avenue, speeding 40 mph in a 25 mph zone. Ticket issued

September 20

10:40 a.m., report of a fire. Person had burn permit

5:01 p.m., restraining order violation: Purgatory Pub, woman arrested for violation of order, domestic violence

8:01 p.m., report of a man down behind the Posse building. Man was intoxicated and was transported to RESADA

September 21

12:15 a.m., disturbance in progress: Tenth Street and Vine Avenue, possible fight. Parties left before officer arrived. No complaint filed

12:30 a.m., prowler call, 1100 block of Fifth Street. Cold call

September 22

6 p.m., report of children playing on the highway in the 800 block of Amb. Thompson Blvd. Officers contacted the children and notified their guardian

9 p.m., bar check. Bar was already closed

September 23

2:24 a.m., vehicle trespass, Fourth Street and Garfield Avenue. Case opened

2:35 a.m., found unreported stolen vehicle at Fourth Street and Garfield Avenue. Case was opened and the vehicle returned to owner

8:47 a.m., animal call: report of horses out in the 1100 block of Locust Avenue. Owner was located and horses were returned to the pasture

 

September 17

7:38 a.m., vehicle trespass, 200 block of Moore Avenue. Case opened
7:53 a.m., vehicle trespass/theft, 400 block of Lois. Case opened

9:55 a.m., vehicle trespass, 1800 block of Sixth Street. Case opened

12:30 p.m., vehicle trespass, 1900 block of Amb. Thompson. Case opened

1:35 p.m., trespass. Vine Avenue and Third Street. Case opened

6:37 p.m., theft report, 300 block of Cottonwood Avenue. Incident occurred in the county. Case was turned over to the Bent County Sheriff’s Office

11:54 p.m., disruptive person in the 500 block of Moore Avenue. Officers contacted and calmed down the person. No charges were filed.

Sept. 25

12:34 a.m., unwanted party in the 600 block of St. Vrain Avenue. Person left without incident, no complaint filed
