Criminal mischief/attempted burglary
Victim was Raquel Trujillo from the 400 block of Locust Avenue. Trujillo reported that someone had attempted to gain entrance to her residence during the night, causing damage to the back door.
Case is open and under investigation.

Harassment (Domestic Violence)
A resident of the 700 block of McAfee Ave., reported receiving many text messages from an ex-boyfriend. A suspect has been identified and charges are pending.

Second Degree Burglary
Victim was Jerry’s Liquor in the 300 block of Sixth Street.
Police received a report that Nick Bahr, age 52 of Las Animas, entered the liquor store and attempted to steal the cash register.
Cleared by arrest.
Feb. 7
Assault at RESADA
Victim was Carolyn Tererio. Subject was Adam Stringer, age 23 of Canon City. Stringer was taken into custody for assault. Incident was cleared by arrest.
Feb. 8
Burglary
Victim was Desiree Gonzales from the 700 block of Grand Avenue. Gonzales reported that person or persons unknown entered her residence and caused damage to the interior.
Case is open and under investigation.
