Elizabeth M. Atkinson, 70, of Pueblo and formerly of Lamar, died Dec. 16, 2009, at the Hospice House of Pueblo. She was born Jan. 7, 1939, in Hutchison, Kan., to Myrl and Lucile Eisiminger.
She is survived by five children, Rebecca Atkinson (Paul Schmelzer) of Hasty, Jay (Joyce) Atkinson of Diamond Bar, Calif., Tom (Julie) Atkinson of Colorado Springs, Dan Jessup of San Diego, Calif., and Michelle Jessup (Mark Osborn) of Lamar; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Lucile Eisiminger of Colorado Springs; one sister, Rhogene Eisiminger of Colorado Springs; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Myrl Eisiminger of Colorado Springs and by one sister, Darlene Jessup of Lamar.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 21 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar. Pastor Galan Burnett officiated at the service. Burial was in the Union Valley Cemetery in Hasty.
Those wishing to do so may make memorials to the San de Cristo Hospice of Pueblo, either directly to 1107 Pueblo Blvd. Way, Pueblo, CO 81006 or through Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar.
