Leroy Martin, 75, died Dec. 6, 2009, at the Bent County HealthCare Center where he had resided since May of 2009.
He was born May 14, 1934, in Las Animas to Clarence Eldrige and Meda T. (Gore) Martin. He worked the cattle auctions at the sale barn in La Junta, worked for many area farmers and had a lawn service.
He is survived by one sister, Yvetta McCammond of Lubbock, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Elvin, Robert and Clifford.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 at the Horber Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Diane Hutson officiating. Burial will be in the Las Animas Cemetery with Horber Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements
