Lucille T. Baer, 86, of Elko, Nev., died Jan. 12, 2010, at the Highland Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Kazan, Colo., to John Thomas and Alice Mae (Larson) Tull.
She married Gerald Edwin Baer on March 4, 1949, in Bennett. He died Aug. 20, 2003. She was postmaster at the Fort Lyon Post Office for several years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She moved to Nevada two years ago.
Survivors include two sons, Gary G. Baer of Las Animas, Kenneth E. Baer of Spring Creek, Nev.; one sister, Vera Faucett of Longmont; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 20 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Moritz officiating.
Special music included “Because He Lives,” “I Can Only Imagine,” and “Amazing Grace,” with Kay Hemphill and James Lockhart as vocalists and Nellie Childers as pianist.
Casketbearers were Andrew Huffman, Ray Spain, Danny Hemphill, Greg Steinbeck, Floyd Gallegos, and Charles Swisher.
Burial was in the Haswell Cemetery with Horber Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
