Joshua Gardner, 16, of Las Animas, died accidentally north of Las Animas on March 21, 2010.
He was born Aug. 26, 1993 in La Junta to Susan L. Waring and David E. Gardner.
Joshua was a sophomore at the Las Animas High School.
He is survived by his parents and a sister, Amanda L. Gardner all of Las Animas. Maternal grandparents Jack and Bonnie Waring of Las Animas and paternal grandparents Loyde and Fontella Gardner also of Las Animas.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 26 at the Las Animas High School Gymnasium, with the Rev. Carrie West officiating.
Family prefers memorials be made to the Las Animas High School in order to establish an FFA scholarship in Joshua’s memory.
Arrangements are through the Horber Funeral Chapel.
