Ty Six, passed away at his home on the Six Ranch, 41501 CR 14, Las Animas, on April 8, 2010.
He was born in Lamar on Oct. 24, 1989. Ty graduated, gold cord, from Las Animas High School in May 2008, and was awarded four college scholarships. He enjoyed many outdoor sports and activities including skeet shooting, fishing, camping, mechanics and operating heavy equipment. He volunteered at the Las Animas Fire Department and became an honorary member in 2007.
Ty is survived by his parents Darrel and Debbie Six, a brother, Jake Six, grandparents Robert (Bob) and Arlene West and Gilbert and Zola Six all of Las Animas, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 16 at the Las Animas High School gymnasium.
Fred Darnell will sing “The Place Where I Worship” and “Lonesome 77203.” Rod Coulter will officiate at the service and Scott Cuckow will narrate a power point presentation.
Horber Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
The family prefers memorials be made to the Las Animas Fire Department to establish a fund to help people in need in the community.
