Den Kusaka, 86, a longtime Lamar resident, died at his home Nov. 24, 2009. He was born Sept. 7, 1923, to Kameji and Mayo (Sabusawa) Kusaka.

He is survived by a sister, Ko Miyamoto of San Francisco, Calif.; stepsons, Floyd (Karla) Gregorich and Alan Gregorich of Salem, Ore.; four step-grandchilden; five step-great-grandchildren, and many friends and caregivers.

He was preceded in death by his wife Maida M. (Sniff) Kusaka on Nov. 29, 1998, and his parents.
