With Regionals just two weeks away, the Trojan Wrestlers definitely seem to be peaking at the right time as seven of the eleven members on the squad placed at the Eads Tournament on Saturday. Cody Breeden (103 lbs.) placed 4th with a record of 2-2, Chris Cornelius (140 lbs.) placed 4th with a record of 4-1, Jordan Melendez (145 lbs.) placed 3rd with a record of 3-1, Sheridan Howe (152 lbs.) placed 4th with a record of 2-2, Paul O’Connell (189 lbs.) placed 3rd with a record of 3-1, Harley Tenorio (215 lbs.) placed 4th with a record of 2-2, and finally Eli Frausto (285 lbs.) placed 4th with a record of 2-2. Job well done Trojans!
The Trojans only have one more tournament remaining (Crowley County Feb. 6), until Regionals (Feb. 12,13), which will be held in La Junta this year. These tough Trojan warriors have been working hard all year and are very confident at this point in the season.
