Cole Miller Receives $1,000 Scholarship

Cole Miller received a $1,000 scholarship during a pregame ceremony held at Coors Field in Denver. He was one of two to receive a College in Colorado Award in honor of his record in both the classroom and sports.

     DENVER- College In Colorado awarded two $1,000 scholarships to the winners of the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) Active Scholar Award at the June 7  Colorado Rockies game at Coors Field.


    Cole Miller of Las Animas High School and Kaselyn Butters of Central Grand Junction High School were awarded their scholarships on home plate before the start of the game.


    Both students were nominated by the athletic directors at their high schools for their outstanding performances, both athletically and academically.    

    Kaselyn, a four-time high school soccer and softball player was not only a star athlete, but also maintained an impressive grade point average of 3.85.    

    Cole was a four-year baseball, basketball and football player who was able to maintain high grades while participating in year-round athletics. Both students served as great examples to their peers in leadership, time-management and discipline.


    The students will be able to use their $1,000 College In Colorado scholarships at the school of their choice.
