The Las Animas School District HECTOR of the Week award winners are, from left: Junior high, Kadence Miller. She has shown great maturity this year. She works very hard in class. She has a very positive attitude and is a pleasure to have in class. She also works very hard on the volleyball court. High school, Armando Varela. Armando is extremely respectful and he works hard in academics as well as sports. He is a true role model for his peers. Staff, Mr. Legario. His passion for math has helped our students understand challenging concepts, and he does a great job relating topics to the “real-world.” He truly cares about student success.
