Las Animas Junior / Senior High School HECTOR of the Week award winners are, from left: Junior high — Jordy Smith. Jordy has a contagiously positive attitude. He greets his teachers with a smile. He works very hard in all of his classes. He shows great enthusiasm for topics such as history and science. He works well together as well as with partners and in small groups. He is always willing to try new things. We enjoy having Jordy in our school and we are excited to see him grow as a student. Staff — Mrs. Netherton. The passion and dedication that Mrs. Netherton has towards the students of Las Animas High is a breath of fresh air. She is ready to help and do whatever she can for the best interest of the student. She is a Trojan Warrior in school and out and we are lucky to have her in our community. Mrs. Netherton is HECTOR! High school — Gabe Martinez. Gabe is constantly on task.
