A Las Animas man was killed in a one-vehicle crash five miles east of La Junta Thursday, Nov. 15.
Ronald L. Six, 62, of Las Animas, was driving a 1989 Ford Ranger eastbound on Highway 50 when the Ranger went off the right side of the roadway. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle traveled east before rolling one-and-a-half times, coming to a rest facing northeast on its top.

Mr. Six was the lone occupant of the Ford Ranger and was ejected from the vehicle during the roll. He died as a result of the injuries sustained from the crash.

At this time, the Colorado State Patrol does not believe alcohol, drugs or speed are factors in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
