The County Line (McClave and Wiley) started the baseball season off with a bang at Walsh on March 24 by sweeping a doubleheader 17-2 and 24-1 to begin the season.

The County Line (McClave and Wiley) started the baseball season off with a bang at Walsh on March 24 by sweeping a doubleheader 17-2 and 24-1 to begin the season. Moments of note included home runs by Steven Weber and Christian Delamaestra. Strong pitching performances were turned in by Caden Eastin, Kenny Delamaestra and Able Salazar. County Line then came back to McClave on Thursday, March 27, for a 10-run win over Holly. The County Line easily disposed of the Wildcats 14-4 in six innings with Steven Weber on the hill. Then the following day, March 28, a tough Granada Bobcat team beat the Rivals 6-1. The Rivals scattered eight hits and a solo home run by Gabe Salazar, but they could not get going, leaving bases loaded on two occasions. Gabe Salazar took the loss on the hill and Caden Eastin came in to finish the game. Current hitting leaders for the Rivals include Steven Weber, Caden Eastin and Kenny Delamaestra, all batting .570. They are followed by Luis Salazar hitting .333 and Cole Smith hitting .290
