Goodbye gowns, hello quilts: This summer's bridal and wedding exhibit has come down and the quilt show has gone up. Cindy Montano from Rocky Ford won the quilt donated by Alta Mosby and there were many silent auction winners. We would like to thank everyone who supported this very successful exhibit.
The Southeastern Colorado Quilt Show will take place at our Heritage Center from Aug. 16 through Sept. 27. The field trip will be the Otero Museum in La Junta on Aug. 26. Everyone is welcome – we are learning many new things and strengthening our friendships.
Our museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children above six years. Free access to the Old Trail Gallery if you just want to shop. We have many new items for sale; shop locally for your gifting needs.
Listen to KRKV Las Animas on LA Live Mondays at noon or at their studio in the Chamber of Commerce Office at 702 Grove Avenue to hear the latest local news of the museum and community events.
