SPRING EVENING AT BOGGSVILLE: Boggsville is now open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A Spring Evening at Boggsville will be held this Saturday, May 16, beginning at 4 p.m. featuring Mexican food wagon (buy your own meal), homemade ice cream booth, and a 7 p.m. presentation by Ranger Craig Moore about Black Kettle, Amache, and Lone Bear – connecting our history. Booths available for $10 per table donation. Appearance by Medicine Woman at 6:40 p.m. – Katie Peterson. Come and celebrate Bent County's National Treasure with us! CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION was successfully held on May 9 and the Hispanic Heritage Exhibit is now open. Everyone enjoyed delicious food, camaraderie, silent auction, kids' games, drawings, music by Rose and Chris Campos, and dancing by Carmen and her fantastic dancers! A special thanks to Theresa Montano, Chairperson of this event, who did a great job, and we thank her for the donations raised for the Bent County Art Guild.

FIELD TRIP: We will be visiting Raven's Nest Nature Preserve in Bent County on May 26 with a presentation at the Museum at 9:30 a.m. followed by an outing to the site. For more information, visit www.southernplains.org.

RADIO LAS ANIMAS: Listen to KRKV 107.3 Las Animas on LA Live Mondays at 6:30 a.m. or at their studio in the Chamber of Commerce Office at 702 Grove Avenue to hear the latest local news of the museum and community events. OLD TRAIL ART GALLERY & GIFT SHOP & MUSEUM HOURS: Our museum is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for children above 6 years. FREE access to the Old Trail Gallery if you just want to shop, and we appreciate your shopping locally for your gifting needs.
