Several members of the McClave FFA chapter competed at the 2015 Bent County Fair, Aug. 25-31.

Several members of the McClave FFA chapter competed at the 2015 Bent County Fair, Aug. 25-31.

On Tuesday morning Sam Cox earned Grand Champion Poultry, while Marcus Perales captured the title for Grand Champion Rabbit. Tatum Chase, Steven Weber, Dillon Roesch and upcoming members Dawson Roesch and Chylyn Fulton competed in the Market Lamb show and Showmanship. In Showmanship Tatum Chase earned Senior Grand Champion honors and Steven Weber finished as Reserve. Chylyn Fulton had the Grand Champion Breeding Sheep as well. Jake Trujillo, TJ Trujillo, and upcoming member Quade Malone showed in the Market Swine Show and Showmanship Contests. Quade Malone was Grand Champion Senior Showman and Jake Trujillo was Reserve. Ally Forgue, Marcus Perales, Ken Cox, Sam Cox, Brooke Bronniman, and Tatum Chase showed in the Market Goat Show and Showmanship. Tatum Chase emerged for a dual Grand Champion Market Goat as well as Grand Champion Senior Showman. Ken Cox was Reserve Champion Goat Showman. Sam Cox earned Grand Champion Dairy Goat Showman.

Shelby Davis, Tatum Chase, Sam Cox, Ken Cox, Sara Reyher, and Erin Wright showed in the Market Cattle Show and Showmanship on Thursday evening. Shelby Davis earned Reserve Champion Market Steer and Grand Champion Born and Raised with her market heifer; Tatum Chase was Grand Champion Senior Showman. Quade Malone, Shelby Davis, Ken Cox, Sam Cox, Tatum Chase, Erin Wright, and Jake Trujillo competed in the Round Robin Showmanship on Friday. In the Round Robin members are judged on their own animal's fitting job in addition to their showmanship abilities with other species. The species shown included Market/Dairy Goats, Sheep, Swine, Cattle, and Horses. Grand Champion Senior went to Tatum Chase and Ken Cox was Reserve.

Tatum Chase, Shelby Davis, and TJ Trujillo competed in the Pen of Three contest earning Grand Champion Pen of Three with their Market Steers. To conclude the fair members sold their animals in Junior Market Livestock Sale on Friday evening.

Also, McClave member Nikki Weakley exhibited her livestock at the Prowers County Fair earning Reserve Champion Breeding Ewe, Grand Champion Born and Raised Lamb, and Reserve Grand Champion Showman.
