SFTD Art Show hosted by Art Guild

Our Bent County Art Guild proudly presents the 16th Annual Santa Fe Trail Day Art Show. The information poster is attached as well as the entry form. The theme this year for Santa Fe Trail Day is “Back in the Saddle for the 88th.” Local and area artists may enter your artwork at the Museum between April 19th and 26th from 1pm to 4pm or call Linda Bourne, Bent County Art Guild President, at 719-688-2508 for an appointment to deliver. The art show kicks off on Santa Fe Trail Day from 8am to 10am (closed for the parade), then reopens at 11am. Come and see your local artists SHINE sometime and join us for the Wine and Cheese event to celebrate the artists at 4pm to 5pm on SFTD, hosted by the Bent County Historical Society.

Vietnam War veterans honored

Las Animas honored their Vietnam veterans by celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Vietnam War Veterans Day on March 29. The Las Animas Avenue of Flags was proudly displayed, and the VFW Auxiliary hosted a coffee for all veterans at Las Animas VFW Post #2411.

16th Judicial District announces District Court vacancy
