The Importance of Broadband Access for Colorado Small Businesses

Infrastructure investments in broadband support the growth of a vibrant freelance and entrepreneurial economy that relies on the Internet to access markets, customers, and services to support operations. Broadband access became even more critical during the COVID-19 pandemic when thousands of small businesses and entrepreneurs had to quickly adapt their operations to implement digital tools that would allow them to keep their businesses afloat. Small Business Majority research from before the pandemic found that rural entrepreneurs faced unique barriers in accessing high-speed internet, which put them at a disadvantage compared with larger companies that had access to a wealth of resources they used to mitigate any ramifications from the COVID-19 restrictions.

Citizens for McClave School support new school construction

Dear McClave School District Voters, Please join us in voting yes on the McClave School District bond measure for the upcoming November 8, 2022 election, which will cover approximately 11% of the cost of a school replacement project. If this bond measure is successful, the McClave School District will then seek financial assistance from Colorado’s BEST Grant Program to cover the remaining 89% cost of the project. Even if passed, the bond will not go into effect unless a BEST Grant is secured.
