McClave, Cheraw qualify for state football tournaments

The Colorado High School Activities Association has announced the playoff brackets for the 6-man, 8-man, 1A, 2A, 4A and 5A Football State Championships.Locally, McClave and Cheraw have qualified for their respective state tournaments, which will begin Saturday.McClave is the second overall seed in Class 1A 8-man play, and will host 15th seeded Dayspring Christian Academy Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.Cherawhas earned the 14th overall seed in the Class 1A 6-man bracket and will head to third-seeded Otis Saturday.The 6-man and 8-man championship games will be played at CSU-Pueblo’s ThunderBowl Stadium on Friday, Nov.
