The Las Animas Lady Trojans had a busy week this week on the hardwood. They traveled to Pueblo to face Dolores Huerta Prep, and then came home to compete in the Breaking Blue Tournament hosted on their home floor.
The Las Animas Trojan wrestlers officially opened their season this past weekend with the annual Fowler Grizzly Invitational. The Trojans fielded nine wrestlers at the tournament and ended up placing eighth as a team.

Tim Yount of “On the Mat” released boys wrestling pre-season rankings ahead of this past weekend’s opening season tournaments. In Class 2A, Fowler High School is led by a trio of wrestlers who are ranked first in their class by “On the Mat.” As a result, the Grizzlies are ranked third as a team in the initial ranking.
