First grade students at Las Animas Elementary School were fortunate to have Ms. Irish, who teaches sixth grade, share with them about Christmas in the Philippines and her family’s holiday traditions. First grade had been studying Christmas around the world in social studies and Ms. Irish even brought a special Christmas desert for the kids. SUSAN WARING
