The Las Animas Junior / Senior High School HECTOR of the Week award winners are, from left: Junior high — Esperanza Zarate Gonzales. She has a great attitude. She is very positive and optimistic. She greets all her peers with a smile. She works very hard in class and is eager to learn. She is an excellent addition to our school and a great example of HECTOR. Staff — Ms. Jenn Pointon. She is an incredible person who has always been there to help everybody at her most capacity. She truly cares about students’ successes and making sure that they are ready for life in the real world. She’s always been a mother, sister and a guardian of each student here in Las Animas. High school — Jordan Dupree. Jordan is eager, excellent and loves Ag class.
