Las Animas School District HECTOR of the Week award winners are, from left: Junior high — Mariela Gonzales. She has been outstanding in school and in volleyball this year. Her attitude has been great. She shows excellence in everything she does. She works very hard on her school work and takes pride in her work. Spectator/Athlete — Tanaya Ethridge. Tanaya was a great example of HECTOR at our first home Junior High volleyball game. She was optimistic throughout the entire game and was very respectful to her peers while playing. High school — Nylah Flores. Nylah has been actively participating to the fullest extent in her classes. She is respectful, hard-working and always on task and gives her teachers her best. Staff — Mr. Marlow. Marlow shows excellence by always being willing to help when needed. He truly cares about our students and seeks to help them whenever he notices any behavior change which prevents bigger problems.
