Ronald L. Williams, 79, died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His wife, Eunice Williams, 52, of Olney Springs, died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the head.

The sheriff's office said sometime during the past two weeks, Ronald Williams shot and killed his wife, Eunice, inside the home they shared in Olney Springs. Her murder was followed by Ronald's suicide.

The couple was found deceased after neighbors had requested a welfare check after they had noticed no activity in the home for days.

This is Crowley County's first homicide in 2015. The last homicide in Olney Springs occurred in February 2013.
