The 16th Judicial District (Bent, Crowley and Otero counties) and the district’s Access to Justice Committee have scheduled a series of free monthly legal clinics for self-represented litigants involved in certain types of cases.

The 16th Judicial District (Bent, Crowley and Otero counties) and the district’s Access to Justice Committee have scheduled a series of free monthly legal clinics for self-represented litigants involved in certain types of cases.

The clinics are scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month, with the first set for 1:30-3:30 p.m. May 10, 2016, at the Otero County Courthouse, 13 West Third Street, Room 206, in La Junta. They will answer questions concerning divorce, custody, eviction, protection orders, small claims, conservatorship and guardianship and other topics. No reservations are required.

Information will be provided by Colorado Legal Services attorneys and court staff including the family court facilitator, self-represented litigant coordinator and protective proceedings monitor.
