The Colorado State Patrol is seeking information on the driver of a vehicle that crashed Sunday leaving one man dead.

The driver of the vehicle that crashed on Otero County Road 21, about 1 mile south of Otero County Road Y around 10:45 a.m. Sunday, fled the scene, according to CSP.

A 68-year-old male passenger died at the scene of the crash. He has not been identified at this time pending notification of next of kin.  He was unrestrained at the time of the crash. 

According to CSP,  a 1990 Nissan pickup was traveling southbound on Road 21 when it went off the right side of the road and collided with a road sign. After impact, the Nissan continued southbound, the driver over-steered to the left causing the vehicle to rotate counter-clockwise. The Nissan came back onto the road and then went off the left side of the road. The Nissan then rolled one-quarter time coming to rest on its right side, facing north.
