The Picketwire Center for Performing and Visual Arts will be holding auditions for the fall production of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”

The Picketwire Center for Performing and Visual Arts will be holding auditions for the fall production of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”

Picketwire invites the community to help bring this American folk tale to life. Auditions for this classic ghost story will be held at 7 p.m. on Aug. 22 and Aug. 23 at the Picketwire Center, located at 802 San Juan Ave. in La Junta.

The show will feature an originally-adapted script, written and directed by Ashely Jo Owen with the assistance of Topher Mascarenas. The show will feature a cast of 15-20 people, with ample roles for both children and adults (ages 5-105).

No prior experience is needed.

Interested parties should come prepared to do a brief reading from the script. Performance dates for “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” are slated for Oct. 27-30.
