County Line 10, Fowler 3

The Grizzlies took the early lead by scoring two runs in the top of the first inning. The Rivals closed to within 2-1 in their half of the inning on a solo home run by Steven Weber.

County Line tied the score with a run in the second, and it then took the lead with four runs in the third.

The Rivals scored four more runs in the sixth. Fowler attempted a comeback in the seventh by scoring one run, however, it was not enough to overcome the deficit.

Christian Dellamaestra was the winning pitcher for the Rivals, and Alexander Proctor was the losing pitcher.

Rocky Ford 3, Swink 1

The Lions scored one run in the top of the first to take the first lead of the game, however, the Meloneers tied the score in their half of the inning. Rocky took the lead with a run in the second and it added a run in the fourth.

Both Rocky's Brian Preston and Swink's Trey Redner went the distance for their respective teams with Preston getting the win and Redner the loss.

County Line 10, Rocky Ford 6

The Rivals scored three times in the bottom of the first. Both teams scored a run in the third, but the Rivals scored two runs in the fourth and four in the fifth to take a 10-1 lead.

The Meloneers made a comeback attempt in the seventh as they scored five runs. However, the rally fell four runs short.

Weber was the winning pitcher for County Line and Andre Montano took the loss for Rocky Ford.

Rivals advance to regional

By winning the tournament, County Line (17-2) earns an automatic berth into the Class 2A Region 2 Tournament. The Rivals will play Evangelical Christian Friday beginning at 10 a.m. at Andenucio Field in Pueblo.

Rocky Ford (15-5) also qualified for the Class 2A Region 3 Tournament, which will take place Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Andenucio Field. The Meloneers will play Holyoke.

Fowler finishes the season with six wins and 12 losses and Swink had a 7-11 record.
