Because of impending poor weather, the start of the Tiger Relays boys' track and field meet will start four hours earlier on Friday.

The field events will begin at 10 a.m. and the track events will begin at 11 a.m.

This year will be the 70th running of the boys' meet. The event began in 1949 by legendary La Junta coach Paul Tate and it has not once been canceled.

The girls' meet is today and it is celebrating its 44th running.
