Following its two losses to Lamar last week, the La Junta High School baseball team fell from fourth to sixth on this week's Colorado High School Activities Association Class 3A poll. The rankings were posted on the web site on Monday.

Lamar is the only other Tri-Peaks League team in the Top 10 and it rose from second to first.

Following the Savages are Faith Christian, University, Sterling, Eaton, La Junta, Peak to Peak, Valley, Colorado Academy, and Alamosa.

Buena Vista fell from the Top 10, but it is mentioned as "others receiving votes." Also in this category are Resurrection Christian, The Academy, Delta, and Weld Central.

In Class 2A, Rocky Ford remained in the No. 6 position. The Meloneers are the only Santa Fe League team in the rankings.

Peyton is still ranked first, followed by Sedgwick Couny, Paonia, Limon, Hotchkiss, Rocky Ford, Lyons, Yuma, Evangelical Christian, and Meeker.

County Line and Fowler are listed as "others receiving votes," along with Front Range Christian, Dayspring Christian, Sargent, Sanford, Highland, Calhan, Denver Christian, Simla, and Dawson.

The Class 1A poll has Cornerstone Christian still at the top of the rankings, followed by Peetz, Otis, Holly, Stratton/Liberty, Elbert, Caliche, Denver Jewish Day, Cotopaxi, and Longmont Christian.

Manzanola is on the "others receiving votes" list as are Nucla, Dove Creek, Eads, Fleming, and Mile High Academy.
