ALAMOSA — The season came to an end for the La Junta High School cross country teams as none of the Tigers nor Lady Tigers qualified for the Class 3A State Meet.
La Junta ran at the Class 3A Region 2 Meet, which took place Thursday at Cattails Golf Course.
The Tigers' top runner was Gabe DeVargas, who was 28th in 18:29.80. Santanel Orosco was 39th in 19:53.20, David Palmer was 47th in 20:13.00, Ian Dutt was 53rd in 20:27.90, Walker Balicki was 65th in 21:11.70, Karl Ludwig was 76th in 23:51.10 and Drew Huffman was 79th in 25:05.50.
Salida won the boys' meet with 33 points, followed by The Classical Academy with 46, Alamosa with 48 and Woodland Park with 116.
Lutheran was fifth with 169 and La Junta was sixth with 187.
TCA's Mason Norman was the individual champion in 15:54.10.
Myala Arellano was the only Lady Tiger in the girls' race and she placed 31st in 22:56.00.
TCA won the girls meet with 24 points, followed by Salida with 90, Colorado Springs Christian with 92 and Alamosa with 94.
TCA's Kaylee Thompson was the girls' medalist in 18:27.20.
