There were a couple of rough stock events to occur a few hours prior to the 2019 Arkansas Valley Fair CPRA Rodeo recently.
First was a jackpot bull riding competition. There were seven riders in the event, but only three of them were able to stay on their mounts.
Nate Hoey was the first rider to go and he recorded a score of 74 points. That would prove to be the winning tally as only two other riders were successful.
Chris McKenna had a score of 64 points, and James Lee Brown scored 63.
Then came the ranch bronc riding. The bronc riders were more successful as five of the six were able to stay on their rides.
Gatlin Huddleston won the event with 74 points. Other successful riders included Donnie White with 71, Dakota Canfield with 68, Baten Ward with 67 and Phillip Wiseman with 64.
