The entire Math Foundations class and a few other students have taken the Accuplacer and all of them have qualified to take a college level math class (MAT120 or MAT121).
This is a great success for the math department.
More than a dozen students passed into college-Level math. These were the only ones to test, and the group had a 100% pass rate into college level math.
Madison Gonzales was the first to shatter the ice and passed into college algebra and college chemistry, then the rest poured through the breach in the wall she made one after the other.
The students would like to thank their families, community, and all the district teachers and staff over all of the years they have been here. They all have been together for their entire school career and that really helped this victory.
In the accompanying photo, the blue shirts the group is wearing are "Champion" shirts.
