Tuesday at the Pueblo County Republican meeting, longtime Pueblo resident Ron Parker announced his candidacy for State House District 47.

Parker has spent the majority of his life living by the motto “Always About the people” and plans on continuing by serving Southern Colorado constitutes.

Parker is an Army Veteran who retired from the Colorado Department of Corrections Educator after 28 years. He has served on the St. Therese Catholic School Board and the Executive Board of AFSCME Local 935. Parker and his wife, Jean, have been married 31 years and have six children.

Tonight he completed his announcement by saying,  “I don’t need this as a ‘job’ but rather give you my commitment that you as constituents deserve better choices and representation than what we have now.”
