The Las Animas Trojans had a rough go this week against two tough league opponents: The Crowley County Chargers and the Rye Thunderbolts.

First against Crowley County, the Trojans struggled from the floor all game. The Chargers, however, seemingly scored at will. At the end of the first half, after a close first quarter, the Trojans trailed 34-20.

The Chargers locked the second half down, however as the Trojans couldn’t score 10 in the half. The Trojans fell 62-26.

Without any time to regroup, the Trojans hit the road against the Rye Thunderbolts. The Trojans fell to Rye in a similar outing 62-27.

This week, the Trojans host the Rocky Ford Meloneers on Friday at 5 p.m., and then travel to Fowler to face the Grizzlies on Saturday at 2 p.m.
