Morgan Wilkening of Haxtun will lead the Otero Junior College volleyball team in the 2020-21 season. Wilkening had previously served as assistant coach of the Lady Rattlers under Jordan Willis in 2017-18.

"I came to OJC for the small town feel, the friendly atmosphere and the learning potential," said Wilkening. "My goals are to continue the successful culture coach Willis instilled and to provide a strong student environment that ensures OJC volleyball continues to be a force to be reckoned with."

Coach Wilkening was a successful student-athlete at Colorado State University-Pueblo where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Professional Writing with a minor in women's studies, education and psychology. Wilkening spent the last few years as a secondary English teacher for students seventh through 12th grades and coaching junior high and high school volleyball at Haxtun. Wilkening said she is very excited to return to OJC and continue the success of the OJC volleyball program with her knowledge and understanding of the game as a coach and through a player's perspective.
