Rocky Ford aggravated robbery suspect still at large, another in custody
One arrest was made Tuesday in connection with an alleged aggravated robbery at a residence in Rocky Ford, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation said in a news release. Another suspect is at large and considered armed and dangerous as of Tuesday.
Patrick Thomas Jaramillo, 43, of Rocky Ford, and Daniel William Hawkins Jr., 24, of Pueblo, allegedly robbed residents of a Rocky Ford home on Jan. 26, during which they allegedly brandished weapons.
Hawkins is being held at the Otero County Jail on unrelated charges and warrants and was arrested on charges of aggravated robbery, a class 3 felony, for the Jan. 26 incident, said the bureau.
Jaramillo also faces charges of aggravated robbery with a $100,000 bond.

Rocky Ford investigators are looking into whether Hawkins and Jaramillo could be connected to a shooting that occurred at the Loaf N' Jug in Rocky Ford on Jan. 26, the same day the suspects allegedly committed the aggravated robbery.
About 3:40 a.m. Jan. 26 an police responded to a call about a male who had been shot at the Loaf N' Jug. Police found the scene in the southeast corner of the gas station's parking lot. The male has not been identified.
Initially, Rocky Ford Police Department said in a news release that investigators believe the shooting to be an isolated incident and that there was not further danger to the public.
Individuals with information about Jaramillo's location, or about the Jan. 26 shooting, are encouraged to contact Rocky Ford Police Department at 719-254-3344. The bureau advised individuals not to approach Jaramillo because he is considered armed and dangerous.
